Precepts & Observances
Visitors who stay in the monastery overnight are asked to follow the following precepts, which are the basis of serious Buddhist practice:
1. Abstaining from killing any living beings.
2. Abstaining from stealing.
3. Abstaining from all sexual activity.
4. Abstaining from lying.
5. Abstaining from consuming intoxicating substances.
6. Abstaining from eating between noon and dawn.
7. Abstaining from beautifying the body (e.g., wearing makeup or perfume).
8. Abstaining from consuming entertainment media (music, movies, shows, games, novels, etc.).
